A Chance of Fate by H. M. Cummings

Review:

A Chance of Fate - H. M. Cummings

A CHANCE OF FATE is a short story which follows Mathew Reynolds, a man at wits end with his failing marriage. With the advent of social networking, he has been able to reconnect with his high school sweetheart. After numerous nights out with Terri, Matt decides he wants to call it off with his wife and pursue a life with his mistress. Tonight, they'll meet in a hotel for a steamy ride of passion, but it's her heart Matt is truly after.

My Review:

When it says short story it means short. Like less than 20 pages short.

This novella had potential with the idea to be a full novel if the author had built on it.

However its so short its a fairly quick single scene. It would have been nice if the author had expanded the idea, the characters, the plot or anything at all.

All we really get is a story that doesn't quite fit the bill of what its trying to be and evoke an emotion from the reader that's never established in the first place.
