When Darkness Ends

Review:

When Darkness Ends (Guardians of Eternity Book 12) - Alexandra Ivy

When Darkness Ends (Guardians of Eternity #12)by Alexandra Ivy

Cyn, the vampire clan chief of Ireland, is an unabashed hedonist whose beauty is surpassed only by his insatiable appetite for pleasure. It’s no wonder he’s furious when he’s transported from the magical land of the pureblooded feys to his desolate private lair—only to have his very existence thrown into a chaos that even he cannot charm his way out of…
Most women may be all but powerless against Cyn, but Fallon, a sharp-witted fairy princess, is less than beguiled by the silver-tongued vampire. She’s a serious soul with no time for the sort of games he plays—especially when they learn that someone is trying to close the veil that separates the dimensions. But seduction may prove the most powerful force of all, as attraction ignites between the unlikely pair even as worlds are colliding around them…

My Review:

I am so flipping devastated!!! Why???
Okay enough theatrics. Still, I can't believe its over. GOE has had a fantastic run and its nice to see an author that knows when its time to move on to something new. I will miss the GOE family, Alexandra has done a beautiful job maintaining the heart of this series from beginning to end. She closed the chapter on it when it was time and I will continue loving this series and re-reading it for many years to come. When Darkness Ends gives a graceful bow to its previous characters in the series however briefly allowing readers to say their goodbyes before Ivy ties up a couple loose ends for the final call. I still enjoy Fallon and Cyn as a couple because they both accept one another for who they are not what they are and as a couple are stronger together as both individuals and partners. Neither of them force the other to be someone they're not and neither of them seek out the advantages such a power couple could do for them. Its a relationship that you can respect and embrace as they realize they simply love eachother for the person they are and not their status. I honestly didn't want this series to end because Ivy has done an amazing job with her books, never straying far from home and the roots of what made this series great. Bravo Ivy.
