Catherine (Slave to a Vampire #1) by Katrina Kahler

Review:

Vampire Romance - SLAVE TO A VAMPIRE 1: Catherine: (Paranormal Vampire Romance) - Katrina Kahler

Catherine, a young Irish peasant girl and other young teens from her village are taken away by English slave traders.

Thrown into a sailing ship and taken to the other side of the world, Catherine fears for her future.

She is purchased by a mysterious man and taken to his sugar plantation. Will she survive? What manner of creature is this man they call Master Lavelle?

This vampire romance is set in the mid-1600's in the Caribbean. Follow Catherine's journey across the seas to the hands of a vampire...where all is not what it seems.

The story doesn't really fit the impression that the cover gives. Its a historical paranormal serial which leaves readers on a serious cliff hanger without many answers involving who the characters are, what their back stories are, the reasons behind their actions.

I wanted more emotion from the cast, I wanted more of their purpose.

I am curious though because its an interesting world and I'm curious as to what happens next.

I'm hoping for more development later on.

Kiss, Don't Tell (Devils in Disguise #1) by Holly Hart

Review:

Kiss, Don't Tell (Devils in Disguise Book 1) - Holly Hart, Ellen St. Claire

I ruined Kim's life before I even said hello. Life has taught me one thing: guys like me don't get second chances. I never wanted one. Not until I saw Kim's face.

Kimberly Sawyers is a good girl, and she lives next door. The more she pushes me away, the more my body aches for her. I can't sleep. I can't think. I need her. I need to taste her pinks, and I need to possess her curves. I'm going to make her moan like no man ever has.

The problem? We have a past.

Now I'm undercover, and Kim's my mission. I've put my girl in mortal danger. I'm going to protect her, whatever it takes.

I'm not sure I really cared for Nate and Kim as a couple, I didn't like Nate's inconsistency.

He remembered Kim then he didn't remember her, he didn't like her then he did, he wanted to help her but then he put her on the line..

There was just too much back and forth going on emotionally that I couldn't engage in his relationship with Kim or the story.
