Viking Warrior Rebel (Viking Warriors #2) by Asa Maria Bradley

Review:

Viking Warrior Rebel - Asa Maria Bradley

Astrid Irisdotter is a Valkyrie-a fierce warrior fighting to protect humanity from the evil god Loki and his brutal minions. She’s on an urgent mission for her queen when everything goes hideously sideways.

Undercover agent Luke Holden arrives on the scene just in time to save her life-and put his own on the line.

Luke may have saved her, but that doesn’t mean Astrid can trust him.

Tempers flare as they hide secret upon secret from each other, but Astrid’s inner warrior knows what it wants…and it will not take “no” for an answer.

Viking Warrior Rebel was good, not great. I would have preferred the male take the lead and hold the reigns but Astrid is still a kick ass chick and the journey was a good one to go on.

I liked that the author came up with a new angle on where she was going with her story since few authors I've read lately have been coming up with fresh content that doesn't sound like everything else I've already read.

Enjoyable and fun. Would recommend.

Shadow Silence (Whisper Hollow #2) by Yasmine Galenorn

Review:

Shadow Silence (Whisper Hollow) - Yasmine Galenorn

Fifteen years ago, I ran away from Whisper Hollow, Washington, a small town on Crescent Lake in the Olympic Peninsula. But truth is, if you were born here, you can never really leave.

I'm Kerris Fellwater, and I'm a spirit shaman. It's my responsibility to drive the dead back to their graves, because around Whisper Hollow, people—and secrets—don't always stay buried.

My best friend Peggin finds herself under a curse after she is almost taken by the Lady of the Lake, and the Unliving are determined to drag her back to the hungry waters.

As Bryan—my guardian and mate—and I work to break the hex, we uncover a dark and violent mystery from the past.

One the Hounds of Cú Chulainn will do anything to guard—even if they must summon a legion of the dead to destroy Whisper Hollow.

I was really happy with Shadow Silence. I felt that Galenorn finally served up a lot of development in the areas she was lacking the first time around but so far both books in the Whisper Hollow series have been absolutely fantastic.

I must admit though that Shadow Silence has easily become my favorite this time around because Galenorn gives us so much more this time around in every way from relationships, development, background, excitement, romance, the whole package is delivered.

Whisper Hollow and all its craziness has pulled me in and I can't get enough. I am so happy that Galenorn took the time to give readers so much more in detail because it gives you more to love, more to want.

I have to admit I was concerned that Galenorn wouldn't be able to top herself in the first book but I am happy to say that she did.

I can't wait for the next book in the Whisper Hollow series to come out. Things are only getting more exciting and I can't wait to uncover more mysteries and secrets.

I highly recommend the Whisper Hollow series if you haven't read it.
