Review:
A girl in a small town forms an unlikely bond with a recently-paralyzed man she's taking care of.
Me Before You is one of those emotional girlie watches that you have to carry a tissue box with. Its fairly silly how dramatically childish Lou is in some ways but it appeals to Will who is struggling to accept his new place in life. When the end comes and she realizes that her hopes and dreams of inspiring him to find a new lease on life doesn't pan out the way she wanted it to she has to cope and come to terms with the fact that he wants out.
The film and the book both deal in assisted suicide and the fine line many people fall on when it comes to that subject. As a person who believes in a persons right to choose its understandable that someone who doesn't want to be in that position could decide to end it but as a romance tale its not my kind of love story.
