Review:
Our favorite white trash zombie, Angel Crawford, has enough problems of her own, what with dealing with her alcoholic, deadbeat dad, issues with her not-quite boyfriend, the zombie mafia, industrial espionage and evil corporations.
Oh, and it’s raining, and won’t let up.
But things get even crazier when a zombie movie starts filming in town, and Angel begins to suspect that it’s not just the plot of the movie that's rotten.
Soon she's fighting her way through mud, blood, bullets and intrigue, even as zombies, both real and fake, prowl the streets.
Angel’s been through more than her share of crap, but this time she’s in way over her head.
She’ll need plenty of brainpower to fit all the pieces—and body parts—together in order to save herself, her town, and quite possibly the human race.
Angel's journey continues and becomes the sole focus of espionage, the mafia, family and relationship struggles, her education, her career and mother nature, including the increasing struggle with her own growing sense of self.
Both men in her life - her father and Marcus continue to cause stress and emotional upheaval and a tad bit of heart break, Angel struggles to maintain her footing at the morgue and now she's struggling to choose whether to stand by as zombie events involving a movie put regular people at risk or to take charge and do something about what's taking place.
Events continue to spiral into madness and intensity as Angel's capture puts her through the grinder more than before.
There is so much insanity going on that readers are literally brought along with Angel as she has to navigate her way through the flood, being a victim and a hero, being mature, being hurt and coming out in the open.
I think so far that this installment was one of my favorites of the three so far but just as Angel is wary of the other shoe. So am I. Can't wait to see how it it all comes out in the fourth and fifth installment!
