Review:
Tony Vaccaro, a WWII infantryman, smuggled his $47.00 portable camera into battle to create one of the most comprehensive and intimate records of the war.
A beautifully tragic docu film with both the haunting and inspiring record that Vaccaro created while fighting along side the men and meeting the communities affected by WWII.
The pictures he took and how he took them knowing the right moment to capture the true essence of life in the moment is heart breaking and amazing. From the most gruesome to the the most sentimental moments viewers watch Vaccaro retrace his steps as he tells his story explaining the journey from beginning to end and the effect that the war had on not just him but the others as well.
I highly recommend! *tear-jerker*
