Review:
Foley Sanders figured he'll always be content with a life of cars and casual hookups. Until a run-in with Cyn, a statuesque firecracker with a hate-on for men, leaves him bewitched and intrigued-much to her annoyance.
Maybe Cynthia Nichols was a little hard on Foley, that muscular, tattooed, super-hot mechanic next door. But she's tired of feeling defensive about her size and has sworn off men. She's got a new job, new life, perfect plan. Foley has trouble written all over him-no way is she going to fall for his charms.
Foley might look like a bad idea, but underneath, he's all gentleman. Too bad Cyn's not buying it. What's a bad boy to do when the goddess of his dreams won't give him the time of day?
I judged this book by the cover. Who seriously wouldn't? Yummy.
The cast was interesting, although I felt all the pre-history angst was a little much, a simple mention would have sufficed but anyways this creates a hiccup in Cynthia's self confidence which hangs over a lot of the book. Foley and Cynthia are an opposites attract kind of couple she's a more "regular" chick while he's one of those out of her league types from what she thinks.
There's a little something sort of under the current of their relationship that doesn't quite feel real to me. They both have their issues and personal baggage but I liked that they had this attraction because why shouldn't a not so skinny girl be able to hook up with someone much more attractive than she feels she is?
The only thing I felt could have used more development was the emotional aspect of their relationship because it felt as if they were both so occupied by their own issues that they weren't completely "open" for a relationship. However I still enjoyed Roadside Assistance and I still enjoyed both Foley and Cynthia.
