My Review:

What a fascinating first installment to a serial.

I'm not typically won over by historicals because I tend to feel like the author puts too much of themselves into the history than actual history but I wasn't overly concerned by this issue this time around. I simply held it as fictional and allowed myself to let go long enough to take in the world and the characters and the plot which were so vivid and full of life that I really truly enjoyed it.

In the end it was way too short for my liking but, you know, serial... so keep that in mind.
