Love and Lapdances Volume One (Love and Lapdances #1-7) by Katie de Long

Review:

Love and Lapdances Volume One (#1-7) - Katie de Long, Michelle Browne

Love and Lapdances Volume One (Love and Lapdances #1-7)

The exotic dancers and employees of the Queen of Clubs walk a fine line, with only wits, beauty, and market savvy to keep them from toppling into the shark pit. Ride shotgun through lapdances, romance, and sexual awakenings. Don't worry, these girls won't ask what your hands are doing under the tip rail.

This collection contains the first seven Love and Lapdances novellas, including Party Lights, Step Back, The Hunt, Double Dance, Strangers, Unplanned, and The Chase. The stories include adult content and language.

My Review:

I'm glad I've gotten to read both books (which is technically one through thirteen) even though I started with the second first because the first clarifies who the players in the cast are.

I think the biggest thing I want from it all is more. More of the cast, more of the background history, more of their lives and why, more of the club and the brothel kind of dealings and the world around it.

We dip our toes in and Long depicts it so well for these women and their circumstances that you want to know more, see more and feel more.

Love and Lapdances really has potential to be so much more because Long has established enough to create a mini series if she wanted to on what she's written. Its graphic, its intense, and its gritty, but its abrupt. I have hopes for this series for future developments and installments.
