Time heals all wounds
Eager to put a dark, troubled past behind her, Trinity Ewing buys an old house that will make the perfect refuge for her and her young son once renovations are complete. The last thing on her mind is finding someone new...but the contractor she’s hired is an irresistible distraction—and Trinity can’t help but fantasize about all the business they could be doing behind closed doors.
So does one man’s touch
Noah Benningfield thought he’d put his demons behind him. But the moment he lays eyes on Trinity, the temptation he feels is too powerful to deny. Soon the attraction between them explodes into something neither of them could have imagined. But their desire will be put to the test when a shocking local murder has them dodging danger at every turn. Can the beautiful and damaged Trinity trust someone like Noah, whose own past is as haunted as her own? The only thing she knows for sure is that she can’t live without a man who makes her feel this good—over and over again...

“I dream about you.”
Her lashes flew up and her gaze locked with his.
“All the time.” Noah buried his face against her hair and breathed in the scent of her, that scent that chased him, haunted him. “I can’t seem to stop thinking about you. I see you all the time now and it’s just getting worse.”
“You’re making it pretty hard for me to think straight,” she muttered.
“Why should you be able to think straight?” He grinned against her hair. “I haven’t been able to think clearly since I met you. All in all, I think the date is a good move.” She tugged away, a groan falling from her lips. “I’m trying to be responsible here and do the adult thing . . .thinking clearly is helpful when you’re trying to be responsible.” She leaned against the fence, staring out into the night, but when she glanced at him there was a smile on her face.
He echoed her position, shifting around so he could rest his hips against the neat little white picket fence. Crossing his arms over his chest, he stared out over the street as the shadows started to deepen. “Well, there’s really no logical reason why we shouldn’t date,” he pointed out. “I mean, unless you don’t want to go out with me.”
Trinity laughed, the sound echoing through the fading light of day. “That’s not the issue. A very huge part of me just wants to say yes. If it hadn’t been for the bomb that got dropped between us earlier, I don’t think this would even be a discussion.”
She closed her eyes.
“Nothing’s changed, Trinity,” Noah said softly.
“Nothing’s changed,” she echoed. “It’s just that I started to think things through a little more. There’s just so much going on already. Do I need more complications? Nothing here has been simple. The house. The . . .”

Deeper than Need takes you deeper into Madison, the small town briefly introduced in Burn for Me. The Secrets & Shadows novellas, Burn for Me, Break for Me & Long for Me introduced readers to the town, but Deeper than Need takes everything in a completely different direction, so if you haven’t read the novellas, don’t worry you’ll be missing anything—the novels work completely independent from the novellas.

It had always been her...
Ten years had passed since the doors slammed shut behind Decker Calhoun, taking away his freedom, but more importantly, locking him away from Elizabeth Waters, the only woman he’d ever loved—the woman he’d given up everything for. The day he was sentenced, he’d looked at her and said, No regrets, Lizzie.
But he lied, because he did have one. Although he’s been out of jail for three years now, he was a year too late. Lizzie never knew how he felt and just months before he was released, she found somebody else and it’s too late.
Or maybe not. It seems that Lizzie’s boyfriend wants an open relationship and two can play at that game. Now all Decker has to do is convince Lizzie that he’s the better man...and has been all along.

He caught the rest of her words with his mouth and when she went to shove him back, he caught her wrists, too. Sinking his teeth into her lower lip, he backed her up against her desk. “Not want you?” he muttered against her mouth. “Are you blind?”
She tried to turn her head and he tangled a hand in her hair, yanked it back. Her pupils flared, her mouth falling open on a startled moan. “Give me your mouth, Lizzie,” he said and then, without waiting, he took it, thrusting his tongue deep.
She bit him and he responded by letting her wrists go and catching her hips, boosting her up with one arm while he used the other to swipe out against her desk, clearing it with one careless gesture. Lizzie worked her hands between them and although he didn’t break away from her mouth, part of him held his breath—waited.
When she reached up and tangled her hands in his hair, he snarled in savage satisfaction.
Lying her down on her desk, he broke away. Her hands clutched at him and he caught them, shifted her wrists to one hand and pushed them up over her head. Then, as he held her gaze, he reached down and freed the top button of the top she wore. With each successive button, he bared more and more skin, pale, pretty skin, lush curves, her breasts cupped by silk and lace and his brain almost exploded as he flicked a look from her face downward to study those ripe curves.
“My hands are shaking,” he said, struggling to keep his voice from doing the same as he trailed his fingers along the delicate lace design of her bra, watching as a soft blush pinked her flesh and started to climb upward. “I’ve dreamed about touching you a thousand times and now I am and my hands are shaking...”
Now he looked at her, watched her throat work as she swallowed.
“And you think I don’t want you.”

A snippet from Sweeter than Sin

A long sleeved black t-shirt had never looked so sexy until twenty minutes ago.
He hadn’t meant to intrude, but he’d heard her and he couldn’t have stayed away if he tried.
But the way she huddled there on the bed, rigid, her spine so stiff, he hadn’t thought she’d welcome his touch. And other than that one ragged, harsh breath he’d heard as he passed by the door, she worked very hard to keep him from hearing her tears, practically choking in her effort to keep him from hearing her.
He absolutely hated that.
He’d planned to say something, but then she stood up and his brain melted, just melted and died as he caught sight of long, sleek legs, strong muscle and sleek calves. The black lace of her panties had peeked out from under the hem of her shirt as she stretched and his blood had rushed to his cock so sudden, it was a miracle he hadn’t passed out from it. And when she’d turned to face him, her nipples had gone from soft to ready for him, ready for his mouth, in a blink.
And it was for him. He’d seen that lambent heat in her gaze, even if she wasn’t about to give into it.
Attraction was easy, passing. It didn’t surprise him that she wasn’t type to give into it at the drop of a hat.
But the thought of those sweet little tits, nipples tight and ready for him, was going to haunt him.
Not as much as the expression on her face now, though.
She sat there like a shadow, her skin pale, her hands fisted in her lap, while she stared out the window at nothing.
She had nibbled at the bacon he’d put in front of her, taken a bite of toast. That was it. Now she just...sat there.
He wanted to yank her out of that chair, push her up against the wall and kiss her stupid. Then he wanted to yell at her. He wanted to go to his knees and beg her to tell him what was wrong. He wanted to get lost in her...and then maybe beg her to...

We went to Virginia for vacation and a summer thunderstorm caught us at Busch Gardens.
I caught this right before the rain caught us.
Hope you all are enjoying your summer!
