Even White Trash Zombies Get the Blues (White Trash Zombie #2) by Diana Rowland

Review:

Even White Trash Zombies Get the Blues: A White Trash Zombie Novel by Rowland, Diana(July 3, 2012) Mass Market Paperback - Diana Rowland

Angel Crawford is finally starting to get used to life as a brain-eating zombie, but her problems are far from over.

Her felony record is coming back to haunt her, more zombie hunters are popping up, and she’s beginning to wonder if her hunky cop-boyfriend is involved with the zombie mafia.

Yeah, that’s right—the zombie mafia.

Throw in a secret lab and a lot of conspiracy, and Angel’s going to need all of her brainpower—and maybe a brain smoothie as well—in order to get through it without falling apart.

Even White Trash Zombies Get the Blues is the second book in the White Trash Zombie series and going in from that I know that second books tend to be a transition books when its a part of a series that continues on into other books. Keeping that in mind I didn't have high expectations but again Rowland impressed me.

Angel is put through more of her transition into being a zombie and is still trying to find her place and her footing in her "new world" or new life as it were.

Angel becomes the center of attention after she gets held up at the morgue and a body is taken. Not only does her past come back to haunt her she discovers that there is more going on in her town among the zombies than she could even guess. Luckily she also finds and makes new friends - even among those she assumed were enemies.

Her relationship with Marcus is put to the test as she also realizes the complications she has emotionally going into a serious relationship as well as Marcus and his own issues allowing Angel to really stand on her own.

Also a mention of note is her relationship with her father and how that continues to be a focus of change in her life as well as she kind of tries to find her way.

I thought it was a great read and I liked getting to see Angel continue her journey and how well she's doing adjusting to it.
