Drakon's Promise (Blood of the Drakon #1) by N.J. Walters

Review:

Drakon's Promise - N J Walters

Darius Varkas is a drakon. He's neither human nor dragon.

He's both.

He's also the target of an ancient order who want to capture all drakons for their blood. When fresh, a drakon's blood can cure any illness and prolong a human's life, and the Knights will stop at nothing to get it.

When librarian Sarah Anderson stumbles across a rare book belonging to the Knights of the Dragon, she's quickly thrust into a dangerous world of secrets and shifters and things she never would have believed possible.

When the Knights realize Sarah has a secret of her own, she becomes just as much a target as Darius. Her scary dragon shifter just might be her best chance at survival.

I wasn't sure about this book going in because dragons are hard for some authors to do well but Walters has done a fabulous job bringing her cast to life for readers of this sexy and exciting book.

Lord of the Rings vs Dragon Shifters is fun, its dangerous and its steamy. Beware ladies these men will ensnare you! Devoted to their brothers, on the run from the Knights and in danger of being exposed for their blood these men will do anything to keep eachother safe.

Although I wasn't sure about Sarah at first she eventually grew on me and quickly became a part of the clan. Instant love isn't always a draw for me but I couldn't help but root for her and Darius.

Blood of Drakon is unique to the usual dragon shifter romances you've read, if you haven't had a chance to read it yet go and get it now - you won't regret it.
