A crew digs up all of the old Atari 2600 game cartridges of "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial" that were tossed into a landfill in the 1980s.

I love Docu films, especially those I have history with. For those of my generation and a few years before were a part of this movement long before Nintendo and Xbox took over the industry.

Atari Game Over walks viewers through the death and the birth of Atari and also unburies the past and uncovers the history that came along with the Atari generation and what happened when Atari disappeared.

Howard Scott Warshaw is brought along to the dig to find out what happened and how the game he created: ET the extra terrestrial became the mythological 'worst game ever created' and brings to light the realistic times and actions of a company in dire straits.

For someone like myself this was a great watch and I was happy to see both Warshaw and ET be redeemed in some form.
