When a terrorist escapes custody during a routine handover, Will Holloway must team with disgraced MI5 Intelligence Chief Harry Pearce to track him down before an imminent terrorist attack on London.

I felt Mi-5 had the ability to be really great but what I think was missing was the emotional half of the film. All the actors seemed to only have one set emotion or expression and that was it for the entire film.

I wanted more from the cast seeing as how good they all were but I just didn't get that connection to them at all. Also the action scenes had a lot of build up that tended to just fizzle out or end too abruptly to make it really exciting.Everything felt too numb for me to really get excited about anything.

Also Mi -5 felt like an updated UK version of Brad Pitt's Spy Game movie without any of the believable over layering of who's who story lines to make me care who was really the good guy and who wasn't.

With such an amazing cast in this film I expected everything to be amped up. Its supposed to be a thriller but I didn't feel thrilled at all.

I saw the potential both the actors and the film itself had if the films creators took their time to really delve into the action sequences, stretch them out a bit, do more with them and cash in on them, I saw potential for them to really delve into the emotional bits and pull out some serious acting as well but it all felt just a tad... home video. The drama was there but there was no feeling behind it. With such seasoned actors involved I expected more from all of them. In the end I felt the movie was just so - so...

Still worth a watch though.
