Nothing But Blue Skies by Christie Ridgway

Review:

Nothing But Blue Skies - Christie Ridgway

Innkeeper Zoe Cash loves the life she shares with her beloved younger sister, welcoming guests to their hillside abode on Abrigo Island off the Southern California coast. She has everything she needs, even a hobby as a local—if not particularly successful—matchmaker. After weathering a personal storm, it looks like only sunny days ahead…until one wounded man arrives and threatens the perfect bubble she’s constructed around herself. He’s making her want, well, more.

Astronaut Yeager Gates escapes to the island and the charming inn looking for nothing but a place to heal before getting back to his high-octane life. He’s not made for sitting still any more than he’s made for long-term romance, though intriguing Zoe Cash is tempting him to turn all his set-in-stone plans on their head.

In this unique locale, surrounded by sun, sea, and well-meaning family and friends, two people learn to face their fears and realize that falling in love might just be worth the risk.

Note this book has been previously published as Wish You Were Here.

My Review:

I think the only reason I didn't rate this book 5 stars was because I'm kinda on the border line of being tired of the traumatized h/h story line since its been played out in quite a lot of the books that I've read lately.

Perhaps its my fault but that doesn't mean that the book is weaker for it. Ridgway's writing is actually very good and her characters are really likable so don't let the 4 rating deter you.

As a reader I found that you care about both our couples journeys together on their path to healing and redemption.

Keep in mind you get two couples finding love in this book so all the better because you get bonus the romance and pursuit, and bonus the sort of hope element that Christie has inlaid in her couples once they reach the growth stage in the book.

I really enjoyed reading Nothing but Blue Skies and would recommend it to others.
