Sinner's Creed (Sinner's Creed MC #1) by Kim Jones

Review:

Sinner's Creed (A Sinner's Creed Novel) - Kim Jones

Sinner's Creed (Sinner's Creed MC #1)

Dirk lives in the shadows—performing hits, maintaining order, and upholding the no-holds-barred legacy of the Sinner’s Creed Motorcycle Club. A nomad with a restless spirit and a cold heart, the open road is his world. One of the few constants in his life: his desire for the one woman who has consumed his thoughts for years.

Saylor Samson grew up far from the harshness of Dirk’s world. But ever since she was seventeen she’s been drawn to this dark and mysterious man who always seemed to show up just when she needed him.

After years of fated encounters, he’s back. This time he’s taking her. This time she’s ready for the ride. But just when the darkness in Dirk’s life begins to fade, Saylor reveals a secret that puts them both to the ultimate test. Now, Dirk has to make a decision: submit to his destiny with the MC, or choose his own.

My Review:

Sinners Creed was a book I had a hard time getting through even from the beginning. After struggling to get through the first few chapters and having to force myself just to get that far I wound up giving up on this one.

It wasn't poorly written because its actually written really well unfortunately neither Dirk or Saylor meshed well with me.

Both Dirk and Saylor annoyed me from beginning, Dirk because the repetition of "I'm the devil, I'm evil, I'm Satans son or Devils child," etc got on my nerves after being repeated over and over just a few pages in then again and again, and again, and again...

Saylor irritated me because she seemed to want to make up any way she could to manipulate her way into Dirks life then her ultra clingy, overly needy personality didn't mesh well with her "I'm a good girl, I'm going to sit on my knees and pray for your soul in a trashy gas station bathroom" act made me roll my eyes because it didn't go with her I'm a vixen please seduce me contradictions along with Dirks I'm a bad guy I'm going to give her the best she deserves statements but I'm going to kick in a bathroom door because I don't trust her crap.

It all just irked the hell out of me.

Neither of these people would survive as a couple in reality and I can't even picture them as a couple in my mind long enough to finish the book right now. It has an inkling of intrigue enough to draw me back sometime later when I'm not completely fed up with them.
