Movie Night: Poltergeist

Review:

Poltergeist (2015)

A family whose suburban home is haunted by evil forces must come together to rescue their youngest daughter after the apparitions take her captive.

Just a couple complaints to start me out.

I cannot put into words how tired I am of these hand held camera movies luckily its mostly just small bits and I know a lot of people have been looking forward to a remake but me personally - I'm sick of them already. The movie industry needs to come up with an original idea and quick.

Next I'd like to say how much this movie is not scary and actually borders on comedy which is a fair insult to the original. The laughter aside it wasn't the ha ha kind of funny but ridiculous cheesy lay it on thick comedy that makes you want to cry out of sheer lameness. You're trying too hard to make something that shouldn't be comical funny and fail on an epic scale. The story sucked overall but the movie itself for entertainment purpose is okay.
