A Court of Thorns and Roses (A Court of Thorns and Roses #1) by Sarah J. Maas

Review:

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Maas, Sarah J. (2015) [Hardcover] - Sarah J. Maas

When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a beast-like creature arrives to demand retribution for it. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she only knows about from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal, but Tamlin—one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled their world.

As she dwells on his estate, her feelings for Tamlin transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie and warning she's been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But an ancient, wicked shadow grows over the faerie lands, and Feyre must find a way to stop it... or doom Tamlin—and his world—forever.

My Review:

The next author that defines teen-age sex or intimate relationships using the words fiery passion while confusing passion for manipulation and control while bordering on abusive I'm going to hunt down and beat them over the head with their own book.

These are not the kinds of relationships you should be influencing readers to have. (Oh my God, I sound like my mother...)

This whole cave man I'll drag you by your hair to my castle while acting like a bastard crap isn't cute. Stop it.

Sure this could go for soft core porn but its not sexy when you're serving it on a great story potential mixed with a cast who have completely revolting personalities.
